High Temperature Silicone (Siloxseal 350)

CT8301-7

Siloxseal 350 high temperature coating composition is offered in various colors and can be used at temperatures up to 1200°F depending on the color.

CURE

Allow to air dry for approximately 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature, 50% R.H Then Cure at 520°F + 20°F for 30 minutes. An alternate lower temperature cure can be achieved at 425°F for one hour.

NOTE: Due to this coating being water-based, it will dry slower when the humidity is higher than 50%. To avoid blistering, the temperature of the final cure can be increased gradually from room temp to the final cure temperature to ensure thorough drying of the coating.

APPLICATION

Apply to a degreased and 150 to 240 mesh aluminum oxide grit blasted surface that is clean and free of contaminates. Can be applied by spray, dip, or brush.

REMOVAL OF COATING

If it should be necessary to remove the cured coating, it can be stripped by grit blasting or by using an industrial paint stripper. Prior to curing, a solvent such as lacquer thinner may be used for clean up.
